Our child spotlight today is Debra! Debra was brought to the orphanage when she was 3 years old because her mother could not care for her. She is HIV positive. Because of her HIV diagnosis, she is on daily medication and a special diet.
Debra is 8 years old today and thriving at the orphanage. If she was not at the orphanage, it would be likely that she would not receive the medical care and nutrition required to manage her HIV. Debra loves to eat and dance. When Debra grows up, she wants to be a nurse!
